Notes

Willingness and obedience are essential to following Jesus. Today, Jesus is calling ordinary people to follow and trust Him. Growing deeper in faith begins with obedience. Like His original disciples, we often grow tired and can doubt the value of following Jesus. When those doubts start to enter our minds, we need to remind ourselves of what Jesus did and said, and challenge ourselves to consider if our doubt is really greater than His power and presence. We do not have to have everything together – we only need to have Jesus. There is no better way to grow in our personal faith in Jesus than to step out and help someone else find Jesus.
Overview

Essentials" series, focusing on the mission God has given believers to "make disciples" (24:00). Using the story of Jesus calling his first disciples by the Sea of Galilee in Luke 5 (27:23), the teaching emphasizes that God uses ordinary, imperfect people—not just the highly qualified—to carry out his work (36:07). The message challenges the congregation to set aside doubts and rely on God’s power rather than their own capabilities, encouraging them to step out in obedience to help their "one"—a person in their life who is far from God—find faith (44:27).
