What is the Digital Campus?

The Digital Campus is our online church environment where people gather to experience worship, teaching, and community through the internet. Instead of meeting in a physical building, people participate through digital platforms where they can watch services, connect with others, ask for prayer, and grow in their faith.

Is the Digital Campus a real church experience?

Yes. The Digital Campus is designed to provide many of the same elements you would experience in person — worship, teaching, community, prayer, and discipleship. The difference is simply the location: instead of gathering in a building, we gather online.

When are Digital Campus services available?

Salty’s Digital Campus services typically stream live at 9a and 10:30a EST on YouTube or salty.org/online. The service is also available on-demand afterward so you can watch anytime during the week.

Do I have to live in a certain area to attend?

Nope. One of the best parts of the Digital Campus is that you can attend from anywhere in the world as long as you have an internet connection!

How do I watch the service online?

Head to our YouTube channel at youtube.com/saltychurch.

How do I connect with people if I’m attending online?

The Digital Campus includes interactive features like live chat during services, online groups, and digital communities where you can talk with others, ask questions, and build friendships. Our online community meets outside of weekend services via Discord.

What is the Discord community and how does it work?

Discord is an online community platform where people can chat, join voice conversations, participate in discussions, and connect throughout the week. It acts like a digital gathering space where the church community stays connected beyond Sunday.

Do I need to download anything to participate?

You can usually watch the service directly in your browser. If you want to participate more fully in the community (like joining Discord), you will want to download the app (desktop or phone) and create a free account. Our Digital Campus pastor can help walk you through how to do this, too!

Is the Digital Campus good for first-time visitors?

Absolutely. You can watch, listen, connect, and explore at your own pace.

Are there online groups or discussions?

Yes. The Digital Campus offers online groups, Bible studies, and discussions where people can grow in their faith and build relationships throughout the week.

How do prayer requests work online?

You can submit a prayer request online at salty.org/connect. Our prayer team prays over every request every week.

Can I serve or volunteer through the Digital Campus?

Yes. People serve digitally in many ways, like hosting chats during services, welcoming new people, helping moderate online communities, praying for others, or assisting with digital ministry.

Is giving available online?

Yes. Secure online giving is available so people can support the mission and ministry of the church from anywhere. Head to salty.org/give to learn more.

How do I talk to a pastor or leader digitally?

You can reach out to our Digital Campus pastor, Cameron, at cameron@salty.org. We are also available on Discord and within the chat feature of live-streamed services.

Is the Digital Campus meant to replace in-person church?

No. Our Digital Campus is meant to extend the church beyond the building. For some people, it’s a primary way to participate, while for others it complements in-person attendance.

Who is the Digital Campus best for?

Salty’s Digital Campus is especially helpful for people who travel often, live far from church, have work schedules that prevent attending in person, are exploring faith for the first time, or prefer to connect digitally before visiting physically.
