In the Community

We believe community shouldn’t stop at our Gatherings, but instead, should be weaved into the day-to-day.

Hangs

Every month we offer a way to connect outside of our Gatherings with what we call Hangs. These are casual, consistent opportunities to spend time together doing something in our communities. Think: coffee shop hangs, beach days, pickleball matches, and more!

Events

From worship nights to volunteer outings, SYA events are intentionally designed to create meaningful experiences and lasting connection.

Who is Salty Young Adults for?

Salty Young Adults is for anyone who is college-aged or in their 20s or 30s, whether you're in college, working, a parent, single, married, or somewhere in between.

When does Salty Young Adults gather?

We meet regularly throughout the year. Our larger “Gatherings” happen on the first Tuesday of each month February-May and September-December at 6:30p in The Boardroom. We meet throughout the community with our “Hangs” every month. For the latest details on Gatherings or Hangs, check out salty.org/events or follow us on Instagram @salty.youngadults

Is this ministry for married or single adults?

Both. Salty Young Adults is for all young adults, no matter your relationship status.

What happens at an SYA gathering?

Our gatherings are designed to help you connect and grow. You can expect a mix of hanging out, meeting new people, a short teaching, and time for conversation in smaller groups.

What’s the difference between a Gathering and a Hang?

A Gathering is a larger, more structured night with a message and breakout groups. A Hang is more casual — think coffee shops, game nights, or just spending time together and building community.

Are there small groups?

Yes! We offer Groups for young adults throughout the year. They’re the best way to build real friendships and grow in your faith in a smaller setting. Explore groups at salty.org/groups.

Is childcare provided?

Childcare is not typically provided at Salty Young Adults gatherings or events, but that could change in the future. Let us know if you’d be interested!

Can I attend even if I’m new or don’t go to Salty?

Absolutely. You don’t have to attend Salty Church to be a part of SYA.

Are there serving opportunities?

Yes. There are opportunities to serve at SYA gatherings and events, and across Salty as a whole. It’s a great way to get connected and be part of what’s happening in a unique way.

What makes Salty Young Adults different?

We’re all about real community. Our goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are, build meaningful relationships, and grow in your faith alongside others in a similar season of life.

Is this ministry campus-specific?

No, Salty Young Adults is for all campuses. No matter where you attend, you’re invited to be part of it at The Boardroom.
