SaltyKids

We want your kids to experience God’s amazing love within a fun and safe environment. We start each service with games, fun music, and engaging bible stories in a large group setting. Then we move into small groups to build community and faith through discussion, bible memorization, and prayer.

Your child’s safety and security are our top priority. We follow a thorough check-in/check-out procedure, and all Saltykids volunteers are carefully trained and background-checked.

Age-Appropriate Programming

A place where kids build faith, have fun, and feel known.

SaltyKids K-5th Grade

The elementary years are a time for empowering kids for the road ahead. We do this through games, music, bible stories, prayer, and discussion with a small group leader. We encourage kids to participate in serving, sharing their faith, and helping others.

SaltyKids Jrs

From birth-4yrs old, we want your little ones to feel safe and have fun, and for you and your child to feel comfortable.  We use the full hour for play, Bible story time, crafts, games, music, small group discussion, and prayer—all this is structured around the Bible App for Kids curriculum.

What ages is SaltyKids for?

SaltyKids is designed for children from birth through 5th grade.

Is SaltyKids available at every campus?

Yes! SaltyKids is available at every campus during every weekend service. Classrooms may vary slightly by campus, but every location provides a safe, fun environment where kids can learn and grow while parents attend service.

Is SaltyKids safe and secure?

Absolutely. Your child’s safety is our highest priority. Our environments include secure check-in and pickup systems, clearly identified volunteers, and safety policies designed specifically for kids ministry.

Are all volunteers background-checked?

Yes. Every SaltyKids volunteer completes a background check before serving.

What does a typical SaltyKids service look like?

A typical SaltyKids service is fun, engaging, and centered on Jesus. We begin with an opening game, head into large group for our lesson and worship time, and end with small groups where we learn memory verses and pray with our leaders. Our SaltyKids Jr classrooms look similar to the elementary experience, with added snack time and age appropriate activities. Our goal is for kids to love coming to church and grow in their faith.

How do I check my child in?

When you arrive, head to the SaltyKids Check-In area. Here’s what to expect:1. A team member will help you enter your and your child’s information.2. Your child receives a name tag.3. You’ll receive a matching pickup tag.4. Drop your child off in their classroom.Your pickup tag ensures only you can pick up your child after service.

What if my child has allergies or special needs?

During check-in you can note allergies, medical needs, and special instructions. We will add this information to your child’s profile and it will print on their name tag. Our team will make sure volunteers in your child’s room are aware so we can serve your child well and safely.

Can parents stay with their child?

Yes, especially for younger children or first-time visitors. Parents are welcome to stay briefly while their child gets comfortable. Our volunteers will also help make the transition smooth so kids feel safe and confident in their new environment.

What curriculum does SaltyKids use?

SaltyKids uses Bible-centered teaching designed specifically for kids. HyFi teaches the truths of Scripture in a way that helps preschoolers, kids, and students understand their true identity in Christ. Every lesson is presented in a way that’s fun, engaging, and age-appropriate.

How are volunteers trained?

Every SaltyKids volunteer receives one-on-one training before serving. Training includes child safety policies, emergency procedures, and how to teach and engage kids. We want every leader to be prepared, confident, and caring.

How can I serve in SaltyKids?

We love when parents and church family serve with the next generation. To get involved fill out a serve application, complete a background check, meet with the campus SaltyKids director, attend a short training, then shadow in a SaltyKids room.

What happens if my child needs me during service?

If your child needs you, our team will contact you right away using the information provided at check-in. This allows you to quickly return to the SaltyKids area if your child needs assistance.

What should my child expect on their first visit?

Your child can expect a welcoming and fun environment. On their first visit they’ll experience friendly leaders, games and activities, worship music, and an engaging Bible lesson. Our goal is simple: We want every child to feel safe, loved, and excited to come back.
