Notes
While we often focus on ways to justify our actions, Jesus reminds us to focus on what God said and desires for us. Jesus not only taught about this, He lived a life of humble submission and sacrifice that glorifies God. We need to learn to do the same as we grow as followers of Jesus. Jesus gave up everything, even his place with God. He accepted the role of a servant, appearing in human form. During his life as a man, he humbled himself by being fully obedient to God, even when that caused his death—death on a cross. Philippians 2:7-8
