- Why do you think the Canaanite (or Gentile) woman sought Jesus’ help? What factors led to her reaching out to Him and what significance do the titles she uses in verse 22 tell us about her?
- How do you think the disciples interpreted Jesus’ silent response to the woman? What do you think Jesus was trying to accomplish by remaining silent?
- What do you think Jesus was trying to accomplish by breaking His silence the way he did? How would you expect the woman and Jewish disciples to react?
- What was the woman’s actual response in 25? What does her choice of words and actions tell us about her?
