1. Why do you think Jesus starts by telling his disciples that He had more to tell them, but that they could not bear it? How does this apply to people today?

1. Why do you think Jesus used this illustration when teaching His disciples about prayer? What does this say about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit?
2. Why does prayer impact our communication with God? How has prayer impacted your communication with God in the past? How can it make a difference today?
3. What do people typically ask God for in their prayers? What does John 16:13 imply that we should be asking for? Do you need to make any changes in what you have been asking God for?
