- In Romans Chapter 5, Paul repeats his statement that Christ followers are "justified". What is he referring to, and how does this differ from how people typically define being justified? Why is this difference important?
- What else does Paul say "we have" because of our justification in Romans 5:1-2? Which of these is most meaningful to you and why?
- In verse Romans 5:2, what does Paul say believers should "rejoice" in? What does this mean to you personally, and how easy is it for you to apply in your daily life?

- In verse Romans 5:5, Paul claims that the hope that comes from God does not disappoint - what reason does he give for this?
- Why does Paul say that we were "helpless" and "powerless" in Romans 5:6? What point was he trying to make, and how does this apply to people today?
- Based on these verses, why did Christ die for "ungodly sinners"? How do you feel when you realize that this includes everyone, even you?
