When is it easy for you to dedicate 10 minutes to listening to another person? When is it hard?

The Bible teaches that we are to love God and love others, but we rarely think of listening as an expression of our love. In reality, true listening requires us to put aside our thoughts, opinions and ideas in order to focus on those of another person. This can be challenging and requires significant effort, but can be developed through practice and persistence. What is holding you back from showing others you care enough to listen to them for 10 minutes?
