Look Ahead
In what ways has God asked you to sacrifice part of your life and you are still reluctant to trust him? How will you be obedient to God this week?
Notes
Abraham did not initially believe or trust God when God promised to protect and bless Him. God responded to Abraham’s doubt with gentle assurance. Later, God tested Abraham’s faith with what appeared to be a cruel and unreasonable request. Abraham trusted that God would provide and witnessed God’s power and provision. God requires sacrifice from his people, BUT he also provides them with the offering. Isaac was a foreshadow of Jesus, the son sacrificed, as a sign of God's faithfulness and mercy
