  • How will I apply this to my life?

Look Ahead: Where in your life do you fight to get your way the most? This week, use the Lord’s Prayer to practice surrender in that aspect of your life.

Notes

What if God’s only will for us was simply for us to surrender to His will? God invites us, but doesn’t force us into His Kingdom. We have to choose if we want to be a part of His Kingdom. Surrender is the foundational element of our participation in God’s kingdom. Our surrender results in our adoption as children of a loving heavenly Father. This relationship requires closeness, takes practice and will be tested, but eventually bears fruit when we seek first His Kingdom.

Overview

"Your will be done, Your kingdom come". Jesus shows us that we need to surrender to Gods will/kingdom and to forsake our own. That we have a choice, a battle every day to build Gods kingdom or our own.
