Look Back: Which “acts of the church” are you adding to your faith journey?
Look Up:
Read Genesis 1:27-28 & 9:18-19
1. What does Genesis 1 say is the relationship between God and mankind?
How should this impact our search for direction and answers?
2. What were the 1st instructions given to mankind by God and what role did
Noah’s sons play in carrying out these instructions?
Read Genesis 11:1-9
3. What was motivating the people and where were they turning for
affirmation? Why was this a problem?
4. How did God respond to the people’s actions and what were the outcomes?
What does this say about God?
Read Matthew 16:24-26
5. What does it mean to be a “disciple” of Jesus and what does Jesus require
of His disciples in these verses?
6. What warnings does Jesus give to His disciples and how do these relate to
what happened to the people of Babel and to people today?
Overall (Discovery Bible Study)
● What do these scriptures say about God?
●What do they say about people?
●How will I apply this to my life?
Look Ahead: Honestly examine the tools and technologies you use most. Are
they enhancing or replacing your dependence on “Divine Intelligence”?
Notes
As we learn more about AI, we need to make sure we are not forgetting
divine intelligence. We need to remember that Artificial Intelligence is
“artificial” and learn to use it carefully. We can use AI to prepare and
analyze, then let the Spirit direct our decisions. We may use AI to find
resources and let God’s Word guide us. We can use AI to investigate,
however never let it settle a question that belongs to God to answer.
Tools are useful and community matters, but there is no substitute for
connecting directly with God. Only humans can pray. That is not a
limitation God forgot to fix – it is a gift He gave exclusively to us.
