Read Jeremiah 29:11-13
- Why do you think that God tells Jeremiah that He (God) knows the plans He has for Jeremiah, but does not tell Jeremiah the details of what the plans are? What does this say about God?
- How do most people define what it means to prosper? What do you think this meant to Jeremiah? What would it look like for you to “prosper” in 2023?
- What did Jeremiah need to do to find more details about God’s plan? How does this apply to people today?
Read Joshua 1:6-9
- What does God tell Joshua he needs to do to be successful and prosper? How does this compare to God’s message to Jeremiah?
- What do you think God wanted Joshua to do when He told him to “be strong and courageous”? How does this compare to want typically comes to mind when someone tells you to “be strong”?
