Look Ahead

What are the key principles by which you will decide how to participate in I’ll Go Beyond?

Notes

Often people look to the acceptance and approval of other people to determine if they are doing “enough” to serve and honor God. Jesus knew this and warned His disciples against it. His message is that God wants a loving relationship with us and our gifts are only one way we show our love for God and others. What does your giving say about your heart and love for God and other people?
Overview

Examining the biblical story of the widow’s mite to illustrate that God values the heart and faith behind a gift more than its size. He contrasts how religious systems often measure success by total amounts, while Jesus focuses on personal surrender, challenging us to reach a goal of "100% participation" in faith and generosity. The message ultimately encourages us to evaluate the principles they use to make life decisions, shifting the focus from what they can afford to what God is calling them to do.
