How old do I need to be to be baptized?

There isn’t a specific age requirement. The important factor is understanding what baptism means and personally choosing to follow Jesus.

What if I try a Group and it’s not the right fit?

That happens sometimes. Every Group has a unique dynamic, and it’s important to find a place where you feel comfortable. If a Group isn’t the right fit, we’ll help you find another one.

Can couples or friends serve together?

Absolutely! We will do our best to schedule friends and couples together. Just let us know you’re interested in that.

How are volunteers trained?

Every SaltyKids volunteer receives one-on-one training before serving. Training includes child safety policies, emergency procedures, and how to teach and engage kids. We want every leader to be prepared, confident, and caring.

What is taught at Salty Students?

Each week, we dive in to the Bible, teaching practical, age-appropriate messages that allow students to ask questions and explore what faith looks like on a personal level. We teach our students what it means to live on mission to rescue and empower disciples for Jesus and we equip them with truth in a chaotic world.

What makes Salty Young Adults different?

We’re all about real community. Our goal is to create a space where you can show up as you are, build meaningful relationships, and grow in your faith alongside others in a similar season of life.

What if someone dominates the conversation?
Group Hosts

As a host, you can gently guide the discussion by saying things like: “Let’s hear from someone who hasn’t shared yet.” or “That’s helpful—does anyone else have a thought?” Your role is simply to create space for everyone to participate.

How does my giving support the mission of Salty?

Can I take communion if I’m visiting?
Sunday

Yes. Communion elements are available through the service located at tables around our worship area, in The Boardroom and on the porch. You are free to take communion at any time before, during, or after the service.

How do prayer requests work online?

You can submit a prayer request online at salty.org/connect. Our prayer team prays over every request every week.

Can I work remotely from The Boardroom during the week?

Absolutely. The Boardroom is a great place to work remotely, take meetings, or study. Just grab a drink or waffle, find a seat, and stay awhile.

What happens after I get baptized?

Baptism is just the beginning of your journey. Afterward, we encourage you to continue growing in your faith through community, learning the Bible, prayer, and serving others.

What serving opportunities are available for students or young adults?

There are a variety of options for those looking to serve in Salty Students or Salty Young Adults at their weekly or monthly gatherings, including guest services, worship, group leaders, etc. If you have questions about Salty Students, you can reach out to Trey at trey@salty.org and if you’re interested in Salty Young Adults, you can reach out to Brad at brad@salty.org.

How can I serve in SaltyKids?

We love when parents and church family serve with the next generation. To get involved fill out a serve application, complete a background check, meet with the campus SaltyKids director, attend a short training, then shadow in a SaltyKids room.

Can a student bring friends?

Absolutely! We encourage our students to invite their “Ones,” those close to them but far from God. New friends are always welcome!

Is this ministry campus-specific?

No, Salty Young Adults is for all campuses. No matter where you attend, you’re invited to be part of it at The Boardroom.

How do I handle conflict in my group?
Group Hosts

Healthy groups sometimes experience disagreement. If conflict arises encourage listening and respect, refocus on the purpose of the group, and address issues privately if needed. If a situation becomes difficult, reach out to the Groups team for guidance. You’re not expected to handle everything alone.

How can I access my giving history?
Giving

You can access your giving history by logging into your online giving (SecureGive) account. There you can view past gifts, update your card information, and manage recurring donations. If you need a copy of your contribution statement, please email office@salty.org.

Who can I contact if I have more questions?

Can I serve or volunteer through the Digital Campus?

Yes. People serve digitally in many ways, like hosting chats during services, welcoming new people, helping moderate online communities, praying for others, or assisting with digital ministry.

Is The Boardroom available for events or rentals?

Yes! The Boardroom can be used for meetings, gatherings, and events. It’s a great space for both community and business use. For more information or to inquire, visit theboardroomcoffee.com/venue.

Who can I talk to if I have questions about baptism?

Our team would love to help. If you have questions or would like to talk more about baptism, you can reach out to one of the pastors or ministry leaders at your campus and we will gladly walk through it with you. Are Groups offered online or only in person?
